A Blog with a Vision

Do you remember MySpace? In the early 2000s, it was all the rage. I didn't feel like I was interesting enough to have my own page, but I wanted to be a part of it so I set up a page for my cat, Harley. He was quite opinionated and had a lot to say about what was going on in the world. I don't know if it was Harley or MySpace that passed on first, but that was the last time I did anything that even resembled blogging.

The truth is, I hate most food blogs. The writer rambles on and on, leaving the reader to scroll endlessly in search of the recipe that she or he was seeking. Nine times out of ten, I lose interest before I ever get to the recipe! However now that I'm diving head first into the world of food, the time has come for me to embrace the blog.

It's taken me weeks to figure out what I want this page to look like. What is my overall purpose? Who am I trying to connect with? How to avoid doing all of those things that make me cringe? I think I've finally figured it out. If a blog has a vision, here it is:

  • The purpose of this blog to educate you. I hope you learn something new.

  • I also want to inspire you not only in the kitchen, but in the garden and when you're shopping for the food you eat.

  • There will be no filler here - I'm all about quality over quantity.

Now that I've decided to take this next step on my culinary journey, I hope you'll come along with me. This is going to be a great adventure!
