About the Experience

** Pike to Plate will be closed in July and August for renovations. Reservations for September classes will open in late July. Thanks for your patience! ** Under the direction of Chef Jennifer, participants prepare and enjoy a three-course meal using ingredients that are sourced from Pike Place Market. While cooking, the chef explains the history of the Market, showcases her favorite vendors, and provides the history of the cuisine. In addition, she delves into the science behind both the ingredients and the cooking techniques. Menus are seasonal and change based upon the availability of ingredients. All menus are client driven. Chef Jennifer works with her customers to develop meals that are based upon personal food preferences and learning goals. Some of her specialties include Italian, North African, Spanish, Mediterranean, and Persian cuisines, all with a focus on seasonal Pacific Northwest ingredients. This experience is $109.00 per person on Thursday and Friday. The price is $125 per person on Saturday evenings. Prices do not include sales tax. There is a 2-person minimum and a 4-person maximum for each class. What do you get when you sign up? - A private cooking class for you and up to 3 people in your group. - 75 to 90 minutes of hand-on instruction with a certified chef. - A full three course meal. - This is experience does NOT include shopping at Pike Place Market. Please refer to the “Shop, Cook, and Eat” experience. Please inform Chef Jennifer of any food allergies or aversions. For very strict or life threatending dietary restrictions, please email Chef Jennifer prior to booking to ensure that she can accommodate you. Food Safety and Covid-19: Chef Jennifer is fully vaccinated and will wear a mask throughout the duration of the class at the customer's request. Guests must wash their hands before we begin cooking and handling food. Other information: This class is not wheelchair accessible due to stairs and uneven terrain.


Cancellation Policy

Clients who cancel at least 8 days prior to their scheduled class will receive a full refund or can opt to reschedule for a later date. Cancellations 3 - 7 days prior to the scheduled class will receive a 50% refund. Cancellations within 48 hours are not eligible for a refund.
