Three Weeks to Kitchen Confidence

About the Experience
Looking for beginner cooking classes in Seattle? This hands-on, three-week cooking course is designed for adults who want to build confidence in the kitchen while learning fundamental kitchen skills. Rather than simply teaching you how to make a specific dish, I'll help you understand the techniques behind it so you can cook with greater confidence and flexibility. Long after the course ends, you’ll have the skills and confidence to apply what you’ve learned to countless recipes. As a chef and former science educator, I enjoy breaking down cooking concepts into practical, approachable lessons that help students understand not only how to cook, but why techniques work. By the end of the course, you'll have the knowledge and confidence to prepare meals with less reliance on recipes, troubleshoot common cooking challenges, and continue building your skills and experimenting in your own kitchen. Class size is limited to four participants, creating a relaxed and supportive environment with plenty of opportunities for questions and individual guidance for each student. Course Highlights: - Three hands-on classes - Prepare a three-course meal each session - All ingredients and equipment provided - Learn essential cooking techniques, knife skills, and kitchen fundamentals - Maximum of four participants for personalized instruction - Shared meal and discussion after each class - Held in a private Seattle home kitchen Course Schedule: - Meets once a week for three weeks - 2 hours 15 minutes per session (includes class time, meal, and discussion)
