About the Experience

One of the hallmarks of great food is the use of seasonal ingredients. There is nothing better than using fruits and vegetables that have just been harvested. The colors are vibrant, the mouthfeel is just right, and the flavors are concentrated. In this virtual series, let’s celebrate fall season by cooking with an assortment of fruits and vegetables that beg to be part of cozy meals and holiday festivities. Sunday October 6th at 4:00 pm Pacific Time * Poached Cod with Brussels Sprouts, Gremolata, and Butter Bean Mash * Pear-Apple Pie with Phyllo Crust Sunday November 3rd at 4:00 pm Pacific Time * Tortelloni with Sweet Potato and Sage-Butter Sauce * Fresh Persimmon Cake Sunday December 8th at 4:00 pm Pacific Time * Smothered Pork Chops with Apple Cider and Roasted Root Vegetables * Cranberry Upside Down Cake How it works: During each 90-minute class, we prepare a two-course meal together. Chef Jennifer walks participants through each step and answers any questions along the way. She also provides additional information about the cuisine and the ingredients. Once the meal is prepared, you’ll be ready to sit down for a delicious Sunday supper. Recipes and ingredient lists go out via email 5 to 7 days prior to class. Chef Jennifer makes every effort to stick with ingredients that participants should be able source at their local grocery store. All levels of experience are welcomed. Note: Once you’re registered, Chef Jennifer will send you the Zoom link needed for each class in the series.
